Why do you have to ruin everything. I don't want a PZEV engine with an automatic.... FFS.

NO EMISSIONS LIFE! Breathing fresh air as well. According to the fucks that implement those damn laws, the state I live in should've been part of the gulf a few ago!

It's so idiotic that I can't get a car with the 6MT just because my state is fucking idiotic like this.

I wonder how New York justifies this, WHILE they are losing very profitable businesses to the State of Alabama. They'll just blame it on the Republicans.

We are giving out 10 years of no taxes to get businesses here. Also there's all that no fracking shit, at least that'd help the economy... And we wonder why people want to leave. Pretty sure we also have the highest tax on gas in the country too.

Well since a lot of the businesses that left were gun related, like Remington(which is a multi-billion dollar business), there is great reason for why those would leave. Plus, Alabama has a lot more desirable climate and the gas is below $3 currently, as low as $2.79 some places. Also, fracking is major business and keeping oil and gas on our soil helps lower gas prices.

Yeah, I think main reasons were our taxes. Also most of the "Ban Fracking" stuff is because of the "environmental damage" it does. You'd think in this day and age they'd be able to harvest natural gas with environmentally safe products. People don't realize how it effects the economy by not wanting to produce Natural Gas in the US and NY... We've lost some other big companies in Buffalo too.

They think it bothers the wild life, but wild life actually like it, because the wells put off slight warmth. In fact, in Alaska the bears like to hang out near the pipeline because it's warm. The entirety of U.S. laws on oil and other fuels like that are ridiculous. In fact, I would venture to say that the Deepwater Horizon oil spill would have never happened, if it weren't for U.S. regulation.

hah, Idaho doesn't give a crap about if your car is a major smog hazard (other than 2 counties) or if its in mechanically okay shape (no mechanical inspections at all). blame the republicans they said... and they have to deal with inspections while I don't.

Certain laws are put in place to make sure U.S. owned rigs are at least 100 miles offshore. Because of this when shit happens, it happens far enough away to make it a big problem. On top of that, it's locations depth made stopping the leak nearly impossible. In fact the EPA had just inspected the rig IIRC, so all of the following give me reason to believe none of this would have happened if it weren't for the stupid laws.

I'll never buy a PZEV-engined car because that shit doesn't make any sense.
